About me: I earned an MFA in painting from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Temple Rome, Italy, and a BFA from Washington University School of Fine Art in St. Louis. A highlight of my early career was being awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Mexico in 2007-08, where I produced a solo exhibition at the Universidad de Guanajuato. Since moving to Canada four years ago, I have had solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of St. Albert in Edmonton (2016), the Okotoks Art Gallery in Okotoks (2016), and the Esplanade Art Gallery in Medicine Hat (2014). I currently teach in the Visual Communications Program at Medicine Hat College, and I maintain an active studio practice at the Hive Artists’ Hub, a non-profit artist’s collective in downtown Medicine Hat. I live with my partner, artist/musician Dean Smale, and our seven year old daughter.
